Mittlerweile freue ich mich schon fast auf den Montagmorgen, weil ich dann endlich die neue Playlist teilen kann. Die heutige kommt von Ben Moorhouse – einem der beiden Köpfe der Londonder Band Ten Fé.
Die Geschichte der Band ist letztendlich die Geschichte der beiden Frontmänner Ben Moorhouse und Leo Duncan. Beide waren zwar schon in verschiedenen Bands mehr oder weniger erfolgreich unterwegs, fanden dann aber irgendwann zueinander und wussten, dass musikalisch etwas Besonderes zwischen ihnen passieren kann. Sie hatten ein Gefühl und tiefes Verständnis und Vertrauen für das was der andere tut. Ob daher auch der Bandname Ten Fé – aus dem Spanischen soviel wie hab vertrauen – herrührt, kann ich nur vermuten. Wenn man die Musik der beiden hört, wird aber klar, dass sie Recht hatten. Schon ihr Debütalbum „Hit The Light“ (2017) klingt nach zwei alten Hasen, die wissen, wie man Songs schreibt, die auf den Punkt sind und den Hörer fesseln. Elegant mäandern die Melodien zwischen The War On Drugs und hippen Indiepop durch das Album.
Letzten Freitag, am 08.03., erschien nun ihr zweites Album mit dem wunderschönen Titel „Future Perfect, Present Tense“ auf Some Kinda Love / PIAS. Ein Album über Zeit – die Zeit, die etwas andauert, die Zeit, die man niemals zurückbekommt und die Zeit, die noch bevorsteht - von einer Band, deren Haltung es ist, die Dinge so zu nehmen, wie sie kommen.
