Jade Bird ist mit neuer Musik zurück. 2019 erschien das nach ihr benannte Debütalbum der britischen Songwriterin. Ein Platte, die so echt und frisch klingt, wie es nur geht.
"Ich möchte nicht, dass ein weißer Mann mittleren Alters mir sagt, wie ich meine Gefühle aufschreiben soll", sagte sie dem Guardian. "So funktioniert das für mich nicht." In ihren Songs geht es um Klarheit angesichts von Herzschmerz. Die Texte sind reif, intim und mit einem scharfen Blick auf Beziehungen und Zwischenmenschliches.
Im November veröffentliche sie mit „Houdini“ und „Headstart“ nun zwei Songs, die genau da ansetzen. Außerdem sind sie Vorbote für ein zweites Album, was dieses Jahr erscheinen soll. Wir sind gespannt!
