Starten wir den Montag mit einer zauberhaften Geschichte - Die heutige Playlist kommt von einem Paar, was sich aus Kindertagen kennt und mittlerweile selbst gemeinsamen Nachwuchs hat. Please meet - ViVii
ViVii – das sind vor allem Caroline und Emil Jonsson. Beide kommen aus Göteborg und lernten sich als Schüler im Sommercamp kennen. Aus Kinderfreundschaft wurde irgendwann Jungendliebe und gar nicht viel später Ehe. „He was beautiful, he was gorgeous, and I fell in love instantly!” sagt Caroline über ihr Aufeinandertreffen.
Ihren Honeymoon verbrachten die beiden in New York, blieben viel länger als geplant und saugten soviel Musik auf, wie sie nur konnten. Als das Geld knapp wurde, zogen sie nach Stockholm, bereit ihre Eindrücke, ihr gemeinsames Leben, in eigene Songs zu packen. Doch erst kam Nachwuchs, der die beiden zwar eher noch strukturierter arbeiten lies, aber irgendwas passte nicht. Irgendwas fehlte.
“We work with another guy, but he doesn't like the limelight at all...” sagt Emil.
“Anders is amazing, he loves all noises,”vervollständigt Caroline. “It took ages, we were so slow before, but once we met Anders it became easy – we are all slow workers individually but together it's beautiful. It's always so natural.”
Anders Eckborn, der dritte im Bunde, wurde zum stillen Produzenten, Gitarristen und dem fehlenden Puzzleteil.
Letztes Jahr veröffentlichten ViVii ihre erste EP „Savant“ und legten nun im März mit ihrem Debütalbum „ViVii“ nach. Die Platte ist wundervoll verträumt, irgendwo zwischen The Knife, Cocktail Twins und Lana Del Ray. Musik für wenn es draußen regnet. -Martin

Again...Jon Hopkins.. but this song is also one of my top ten - sad (beautiful) songs!

Heard him tell the story in Stockholm about how he wrote that song in 10 minutes.

What can I say, I could take all of the songs from Sufjans album - Carrie and Lowell. He makes the most sad and beautiful songs ever.
Sade - No ordinary Love.
Remember hearing this when i was 15. It was like somebody stabbed me with a dull knife in the heart. Such a heartbreaking song.
Duran Duran - Ordinary World
Perfect pop song with really interesting harmonics. Kind of an odd song compared to the rest of Duran Duran’s repertoire. But it has a sad feeling all over that makes it really great!
Edward Elgar - Enigma Variations
My dad showed me this classical masterpiece. The melodies that builds up in a perfect way and goes on and on.. would love to make it to a pop song one day!
