033 – Tia Gostelow

Starten wir den Montag mit guter Musik. Sowohl die Playlist, als auch das aktuelle Album der heutigen Künstlerin, Tia Gostelow, sind der perfekte Soundtrack für verträumte Montage.

Tia Gostelow ist mehr als "The Next Big Thing From Australia". Aus Queensland stammend und jetzt in Brisbane lebend hat das 2018er Debütalbum der 20-Jährigen „Thick Skin“ auch über die Grenzen des Kontinents hinaus Aufsehen erregt. Und das vollkommen zurecht. „Thick Skin“ ist eine wundervolle Dreampop Platte. Erwachsen und doch voller Jugendlichkeit und mit einer ganzen Menge Hitpotential. Nicht nur die erste Single „Phone Me“ bleibt im Ohr. Den Song „Blue Velvet“ gibt es jetzt in einer wunderschönen Live Piano Version.

2. Apocalypse by Cigarettes After Sex - I listened to this song religiously when I moved away from home and felt super homesick. Definitely pulls the heartstrings.

3. Norway by Beach House - Every time I listen to Beach House I feel so disconnected from the world and this song in particular can make me cry in the blink of an eye.

4. White Mustang by Lana Del Rey - If my boyfriend and I ever broke up, this would be what I would listen to.

5. Good To Be Alone by Matt Corby - Matt has a certain way of making you feel exactly what he wants you to, and I feel very alone when I listen to this.

6. Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel - I remember hearing this for the first time and I recall this huge feeling of heartbreak. The harmonies are haunting.

7. If You Need To, Keep Time On Me by Fleet Foxes - The harmonies, chords, instrumentation all makes me feel so sad. Fleet Foxes know what they're doing.

8. Body by Julia Jacklin - The lyrics in this song are so, so heavy. So simple but yet so impactful.

9. Cavalier by Jame Vincent McMorrow - How can you not feel sad listening to this? Heartbreak song for sure.

10. Bleed Confusion by The Paper Kites - I remember listening to this song after I found out my ex cheated on me. Everything about this makes me want to cry myself to sleep.
